33-Year-Old Escalon Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision near Meadowlark Lane
OAKDALE, CA (August 19, 2024) – Wednesday morning, Lawrence Foutch was killed in a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 120.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 7:20 p.m., just west of Meadowlark Lane.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a Hyundai hatchback, a 2018 Ford sedan, and a 2018 Nissan pickup truck.
Reports indicate that Foutch was driving the Hatchback west in the No.2 lane while an Oakdale woman driving the 2018 Ford sedan was next to him. As the two westbound lanes merged into one, the Ford hit the left-rear of the Honda.
The impact caused the Hyundai to spin out counterclockwise before striking an eastbound Nissan.
Emergency responders declared the Hyundai driver – identified as 33-year-old Lawrence Foutch of Escalon – dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, a ground ambulance took the Oakdale man driving the Nissan to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Authorities said the Oakdale woman driving the Ford was unharmed.
California Highway Patrol officers eventually closed down the eastbound lanes of Highway 120 during preliminary duties.
