Woman Pronounced Dead after Chain-Reaction Crash near Rosamond Parkway

ANNA, TX (August 19, 2024) – Late Monday morning, a multi-car accident on U.S. Highway 75 claimed the life of Katrina Shelby.

Authorities responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m., near Rosamond Parkway on August 12th.

For reasons under investigation, a pileup-crash involving six vehicles occurred in the area.

Upon arrival, first responders located Shelby unconscious with life-threatening injuries. Shortly after, medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities transported two others to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries while four others declined medical attention.

Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
