Bryan Rodriguez Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Avenue 48 [Indio, CA]
20-Year-Old Indio Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Hjorth Street
INDIO, CA (August 19, 2024) – Wednesday morning, Bryan Rodriguez was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident on Avenue 48.
Authorities responded to the scene around 8:20 p.m., at the 81200 block of Avenue 48, near Hjorth Street.
Upon arrival, the Riverside County Fire Department units learned that a motorcyclist collided with another vehicle. The impact of the crash caused one of the vehicles to catch on fire.
Despite their efforts, first responders pronounced the rider dead at the scene. The coroner’s office identified the deceased victim as 20-year-old Bryan Rodriguez of Indio.
Police said the driver of the second vehicle did not sustain injuries from the incident. In the end, officials closed Avenue 48 between Madison to Monroe Streets for investigation.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. The Indio Police Department is currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the two-vehicle crash.
