Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Collision near Whitehall Road

TEMPLE, TX (August 15, 2024) – One rider was hospitalized Saturday morning, after a motorcycle accident on Highway 36.

First responders arrived to the 11000 block of Highway 36 near Whitehall Road around 9:20 a.m., on August 3rd.

According to the Temple Police Department, the incident involved two motorcycles.

Initial investigation revealed that both motorcyclists were heading west and collided as they were about to make a turn onto Whitehall Road.

As a result, one of the riders sustained life-threatening injuries while the other motorcyclist remained uninjured.

Paramedics arrived and transported the severely injured rider to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Troopers directed passing motorists to Cedar Ridge and Moffat Road while they clear the scene. Lanes have been reopened since, and further investigation remains underway.
