Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on Del Sol Boulevard [San Diego, CA]
37-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after SUV vs Pedestrian Crash near Kostner Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 15, 2024) – Friday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Del Sol Boulevard in Otay Mesa.
Dispatchers received calls around 7:00 p.m., at the 4200 block of Del Sol Boulevard near Kostner Drive.
Police officers say the driver of a westbound 2010 Toyota Rav 4 failed to stop at the posted stop-sign.
As a result, the Toyota struck a pedestrian who was heading south from the north sidewalk of Kostner Drive.
Paramedics arrived and transported the male victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity remains undisclosed to the public at this time.
Currently, authorities have made no arrests, and they do not suspect intoxication was a factor in the incident.
