83-Year-Old Oceanside Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Via Rancho Road

OCEANSIDE, CA (August 15, 2024) – Monday morning, a pedestrian accident on Rancho Del Oro Drive took the life of Henry Broncy.

Around 7:31 a.m., first responders arrived to the intersection of Rancho Del Oro Drive and Via Rancho Road. 

According to the Oceanside Police Department, the driver of an unidentified vehicle hit a person crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk. 

Responding paramedics transported the male victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities later identified the deceased victim as 83-year-old Broncy, of Oceanside.

Meanwhile, the 46-year-old Oceanside resident driving the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was not arrested or charged for the incident.
