32-Year-Old Arleta Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Plummer Street
NORTHRIDGE, CA (August 15, 2024) – Friday night, Erik Navarro was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Tampa Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:10 p.m., near Plummer Street.
Police officers say the driver of a southbound vehicle struck Navarro while he was riding a motorcycle eastbound.
An eyewitness claimed the driver of the car did not pull over and fled before the authorities arrived.
Responding Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. On Monday, the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner identified the deceased rider as 32-year-old Erik Navarro of Arleta.
Authorities are working to determine the suspect’s vehicle information. Those who witnessed the hit-and-run can contact local officers as soon as possible.
