Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Collision near Buckeye Road

PHOENIX, AZ (August 15, 2024) – Saturday night, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on 16th Street.

The incident happened just before 8:00 p.m., near the intersection of 16th Street and Buckeye Road on August 10th.

According to investigators, the driver of a light-colored truck was traveling north on 16th Street and struck an adult male bicyclist, inflicting critical injuries.

Responding paramedics transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene and is currently at large.
