Two Hospitalized after 7-Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway [South Los Angeles, CA]
Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Crenshaw Boulevard On-Ramp
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 14, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, two people were hospitalized following a 7-vehicle crash on 10 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 3:12 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a blue Dodge Charger and a gray Infiniti sedan collided near the Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp. The initial collision caused five other vehicles to become involved.
Reports also indicate that two of the involved vehicles overturned. Medical personnel transported two occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment of moderate injuries.
Responding crews shut down the surrounding roadway for a brief time during clearing operations. At around 6:00 a.m., California Highway Patrol officers managed to open the remaining lanes of 10 Freeway.
