Two Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Collision near Farm-to-Market Road 1585

LUBBOCK, TX (August 13, 2024) – Wednesday morning, two drivers sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on Highway 84.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:15 a.m., near Farm-to-Market Road 1585 on July 10th.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a pickup-truck was traveling west in the eastbound lanes.

Meanwhile, the driver of an eastbound SUV was attempting to turn onto FM-1585.

There, the SUV driver failed to notice the pickup-truck and the two vehicles collided. Both drivers sustained serious injuries.

Paramedics arrived and transported both drivers to University Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

No additional information was made public as of this time, and the wrong-way crash on Highway 84 remains under investigation.
