Felipe Castellanos Killed, Lakhvir Singh Injured in Head-On Accident on Highway 20 [Sutter County, CA]
54-Year-Old Williams Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Acacia Avenue
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (August 12, 2024) – Early Monday, Felipe Castellanos died and Lakhvir Singh was hurt in a head-on crash on Highway 20.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene around 5:11 a.m., on eastbound lanes of Highway 20, just west of Acacia Avenue.
Based on the initial investigation, an eastbound red Ford F-150 attempted to pass another vehicle by driving into the opposing lanes. However, the F-150 collided head-on with an upcoming Dodge Charger.
Due to the extent of his condition, the Ford driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased driver as 54-year-old Felipe De Jesus A Castellanos, of Williams.
Paramedics also rushed the Dodge driver, 39-year-old Lakhvir Singh of Olivehurst, to Adventist Health/Rideout Hospital in Marysville with major injuries.
At this time, the Sutter County Officials continue to investigate the crash.
