Fatality Reported after High-Speed Accident on 127th Avenue [Litchfield Park, AZ]
One Killed in Two-Vehicle High-Speed Crash on Camelback Road
LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ (August 12, 2024) – Friday evening, one person died and another was seriously injured in a high-speed accident on 127th Avenue.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m., near Camelback Road on July 26th.
Witnesses told authorities that two vehicles were speeding in the area before colliding with each other and slamming into a traffic pole.
The impact caused one of the vehicles to catch fire, causing fatal injuries to the driver. Meanwhile, the other driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
Responding personnel shut down the roadway for a brief time during clearing operations. No additional information was added, and the MCSO Vehicular Crimes is handling further investigation.
