22-Year-Old Woman Struck by Police Officer in Pedestrian Collision near Washington Street

CALISTOGA, CA (August 7, 2024) – Monday evening, a pedestrian accident on Berry Street involving a patrol vehicle left a woman injured. 

The collision occurred around 7:20 p.m., at the intersection of Berry and Washington Street in Napa Valley. 

According to reports, a police SUV hit a woman who was attempting to cross the street. Authorities are also investigating whether the police vehicle was traveling with their lights and sirens at the time of the incident. 

Responding paramedics eventually rushed the 22-year-old female victim to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital via airlift for treatment of major head injuries. 

It was unclear if there would be any disciplinary action against the officer driving the patrol vehicle. The Napa CHP will release more information regarding the Berry Street pedestrian crash once they are provided.
