Three Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near County Road 217
SOMERVELL COUNTY, TX (August 6, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, Robert Schiller, Steven Storie, and Ann Storie died in a head-on crash.
The incident occurred on US Highway 67 near County Road 217, around 4:15 p.m., on July 24th.
Officers say Schiller was driving a 2011 Dodge Nitro east when he veered into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse.
Responding paramedics pronounced 37-year-old Schiller, 68-year-old Steven, and 65-year-old Ann dead at the scene.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
Furthermore, authorities added that Steven was a firefighter who worked at Godley Fire Department. At this time, the factors that contributed to the crash were not yet learned, and further investigation is still ongoing.
