Akiyah Stallings and Jazmine Day Killed in High-Speed Fiery Crash on 35th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
Two Women Pronounced Dead after Fiery Auto Collision near Sweetwater Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (August 1, 2024) – Early Friday morning, Akiyah Stallings and Jazmine Day were killed in a high-speed fiery crash on 35th Avenue.
Phoenix Police Officers responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., near Sweetwater Avenue on July 26th.
Upon arrival, first responders located a vehicle that has crashed into a power pole and caught fire. Authorities say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control and veering off the road into a nearby power pole.
Responding medics discovered a woman who was outside of the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took her to a nearby hospital where she later passed away.
In addition, crews located a deceased woman inside the vehicle. Authorities have not yet released their identities.
Officials closed off the surrounding area near the intersection for a brief time during clearing operations.
Moreover, the area was blocked during the length of the investigation. Once available, more details will be provided about the fiery crash on 35th Avenue.
