2 Drivers Hospitalized after 3-Car Accident on State Route 17 [Franklin County, WA]
One Unidentified Driver Arrested after Three-Vehicle Collision near Othello
FRANKLIN COUNTY, WA (August 1, 2024) – Friday afternoon, two drivers were hospitalized after a 3-car accident on State Route 17.
Washington State Troopers responded to the scene around 12:20 p.m., about seven miles south of Othello on June 28th.
Investigators say the driver of a northbound vehicle veered into oncoming traffic. There, the wrong-way vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming pickup-truck as well as a construction vehicle.
Paramedics arrived and quickly transported the wrong-way driver and the pickup-truck driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identities.
Following preliminary duties, officers stated that the wrong-way driver is facing a second degree negligent driving charge.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the auto accident on State Route 17 is still currently underway.
