26-Year-Old Rider and 18-Year-Old Passenger Injured in Motorcycle Collision near North Spruce Avenue

LUBBOCK, TX (July 30, 2024) – Saturday morning, Robert Rios and Gabriella Constancio were hurt in a motorcycle crash on Brown Street.

Lubbock Police Officers responded to the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m., near North Spruce Avenue on July 20th.

Investigators say 26-year-old Rios was riding a motorcycle west in the 1900 block of East Brown Street. According to reports, the rider failed to negotiate a curb and slammed into a parked vehicle.

Responding paramedics transported Rios and his passenger, 18-year-old Constancio to University Medical Center. Medics say they were both suffering from serious injuries.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Currently, authorities are actively pursuing all leads to gather further information about the crash.
