Christopher Norcross Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision on 31st Street [Temple, TX]

71-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Scott Boulevard

TEMPLE, TX (July 30, 2024) – Wednesday morning, Christopher Norcross was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on 31st Street.

Dispatchers received calls around 10:04 a.m., near Scott Boulevard on July 17th.

Officers say the driver of an SUV was making a turn at the intersection and struck the male pedestrian.

Paramedics arrived and transported Norcross to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of his condition 71-year-old Norcross later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the SUV driver stayed at the scene and coordinated with law enforcement. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.

No further information is available regarding the fatal pedestrian crash on 31st Street.
