53-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Work Incident near Merle Haggard Drive
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 29, 2024) – Wednesday morning, an industrial work accident on Pegasus Drive caused the death of Kenneth Jay Sanders.
Around 8:00 a.m., police officers responded to the 3600 block of Pegasus Drive near Merle Haggard Drive on July 17th.
Investigators say Sanders was working at the industrial site when a pipe fell on top of him.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 53-year-old Sanders, of Manteca deceased at the scene.
In addition, no other injuries were reported from the incident.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. No further details regarding the work accident on Pegasus Drive have been released to the public. Once available, more information will be provided.
