Young Girl Killed, 9 Injured in 3-Car Collision on Avalon Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]
12-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near East Century Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 25, 2024) – Early Friday evening, a young girl was killed and nine were hurt in a 3-car collision on Avalon Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 6:20 p.m., near East Century Boulevard.
Investigators say the driver of a vehicle was attempting to make a U-turn and collided with two other vehicles at the intersection.
The impact ejected a 12-year-girl inside one of the cars onto the road. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the young girl dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
Firefighters also worked to extricate one of the drivers trapped in the wreckage. Paramedics rushed the drier to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Additionally, five adults and three children were also hospitalized for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
No further details regarding the fatal Avalon Boulevard multi-vehicle crash have been released to the public. The Los Angeles Police Department will provide more information once available.
