1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision on La Tuna Canyon Road [Los Angeles, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Foothill Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 25, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a head-on collision on La Tuna Canyon Road left one dead and another hospitalized.
Authorities responded to the 8400 block of La Tuna Canyon Road around 12:50 p.m., near the Foothill Freeway in the Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood.
Officers say the driver of a silver Kia sedan collided with a white Dodge sedan, leaving both vehicles with significant front-end damage.
Emergency responders extricated a man in his 30’s occupying one of the vehicles before transporting him to a hospital for serious injuries.
An unidentified person was also declared dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased victim
No further details regarding the fatal La Tuna Canyon Road head-on crash have been released to the public. The Los Angeles Police Department will provide more information once available.
