Suspect Arrested after Critically Injuring Woman in Hit-and-Run near East River Road

TUCSON, AZ (July 24, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, one woman was seriously injured following a hit-and-run accident on North Sabino Canyon Road.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene near East River Road on July 2nd.

Upon arrival, first responders located the two involved vehicles. In addition, officers say one woman was suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics quickly transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Moreover, the driver of the other vehicle attempted to flee the scene. However, police were able to locate and arrest the suspect. As a result, officers booked him into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex with hit-and-run causing serious injury.
