Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash on Greenway Road [Phoenix, AZ]
Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near 32nd Street
PHOENIX, AZ (July 24, 2024) – Saturday evening, one man was pronounced dead following a pedestrian crash and Greenway Road.
The Phoenix Police Department responded to the scene around 8:00 p.m., near 32nd Street on July 13th.
Investigators say the pedestrian was crossing in a marked crosswalk against a “Do Not Walk” sign. There, the driver of an eastbound vehicle struck the man on Greenway Road.
Upon arrival, first responders located the male pedestrian on the road with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took the victim to a nearby hospital where he later passed away.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man.
Meanwhile, the driver involved was evaluated by officers, and impairment was not considered a factor in the collision. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the fatal pedestrian crash on Greenway Road is still currently underway.
