Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Collision near Interstate 15
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 23, 2024) – Wednesday morning, one male rider was fatally struck in a bicycle accident on State Route 56.
The incident occurred around 9:25 a.m., near Interstate 15 in Carmel Mountain Ranch.
Reports indicate that the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup-truck was heading west and struck a male bicyclist. Medical responders transported the male bicyclist to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old driver of the Ram remained on site and cooperated with investigators. At this time, authorities are still waiting for the toxicology report to determine whether alcohol contributed to the crash.
