Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Getty Freeway

BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 23, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, three victims sustained injuries in a head-on crash on China Grade Loop.

First responders arrived to the scene around 7:09 a.m., near the Getty Freeway and Junction Road. 

According to reports, a head-on collision between two vehicles caused a white pickup-truck to roll over.

Investigators said the pickup then landed on top of a pipe in a nearby oilfield, causing the truck’s axle to be detached. 

Responding medical personnel said one person sustained major injuries after being trapped in the vehicle. Two others sustained minor injuries from the incident as well. 

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the China Grade Loop head-on crash. Bakersfield Officials will provide more information once available.
