Rogan Murrell and Jayneat Morgan Dead, Jesse Roullier Arrested after DUI Crash on State Route 27 [Rockford, WA]
33-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision near Milepost 71
ROCKFORD, WA (July 22, 2024) – Sunday, Rogan Murrell and Jayneat Morgan died, and Jesse Roullier was arrested after a crash on State Route 27.
The incident occurred on the southbound lanes of the freeway near milepost 71 on July 14th. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple calls.
According to reports, 33-year-old Roullier was heading north and crossed over into oncoming lanes.
There, Roullier collided head-on with a southbound vehicle occupied by three teenagers. Debris from the impact also hit a third vehicle driven by a 51-year-old man.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 18-year-old Murrell and 17-year-old Morgan dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted the third teenager to Sacred Heart for further treatment.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Following preliminary duties, officers determined that Roullier was impaired and police charged him with vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
