One Man Pronounced Dead after Pickup vs Bicycle Crash near Hall Road 

RIVERBANK, CA (July 22, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, a bicycle collision on Santa Fe Road claimed the life of one man. 

Police responded to the incident around 5:54 a.m. along the southbound Santa Fe Road, just south of Hall Road.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup-truck that was traveling at about 50 miles per hour rear-ended the cyclist who traveling in the same direction.

According to reports, the driver of the Silverado claimed that they had failed to see the bicyclist. The impact of the crash caused one of the tires from the bicycle to hit a northbound 2023 Ford. 

First responders declared the male bicyclist dead at the scene. Although, his name has not been released to the public.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the incident. The Riverbank Officials are asking those with additional information to contact the CHP Stockton office at (209) 938-4800.
