Christopher Sanchez Dead, Daniel Castaneda Arrested after Speeding Crash on Arapaho Road [Dallas, TX]
22-Year-Old Passenger Ejected and Killed in Speeding Collision near Preston Road
DALLAS, TX (July 22, 2024) – Monday, Christopher Sanchez was killed and Daniel Castaneda was arrested after a speeding crash on Arapaho Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 2:00 a.m., near Preston Road at the the 5900 block of Arapaho Road on July 8th.
Investigators say Castaneda was driving an SUV at a high rate of speed and veered into the center median before crashing into two light poles.
The impact ejected Castaneda’s passenger, Sanchez, from the vehicle onto the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 22-year-old Sanchez dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Castaneda fled the scene on foot. Police officers were later able to locate and arrest Castaneda into jail. He currently faces charges of intoxication and manslaughter and collision involving death.
No additional information was added at this time, and further investigation remains ongoing.
