Several People Hospitalized after Rear-End Accident near 24th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 22, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, multiple people were sent to a hospital following a rear-end accident on J Street.
Police responded around 1:30 a.m., at the 2400 block of J Street, near 24th Street in Sherman Heights.
Per reports, the driver of an eastbound 2015 BMW rear-ended a stopped 1998 Honda sedan facing the eastbound mid-block.
The impact of the crash caused the Honda to hit two parked vehicles in the area.
Responding medical personnel transported at least five occupants of the BMW to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Police said the 18-year-old driver also sustained serious injuries from the incident.
It was unclear if any of the passengers of the Honda sustained injuries. San Diego officials are asking those who witnessed the rear-end collision on J Street to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
