3 Hospitalized after Six-Vehicle Tesla Crash on Beach Boulevard [Buena Park, CA]
3 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Rollover Collision near Orangethorpe Avenue
BUENA PARK, CA (July 22, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, at least three people were hospitalized after a six-vehicle Tesla crash on Beach Boulevard.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 4:00 p.m., in the area of Beach Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a white Tesla was traveling at high rates of speed in the wrong direction.
As a result, the Tesla collided with several oncoming vehicles, causing two cars to overturn.
Responding firefighters extricated two people from the wreckage and an additional victim trapped inside the flipped Tesla. Eventually, paramedics transported the three patients to a local hospital for further treatment.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations.
At this time, the Buena Park Police Department is leading the investigation. It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
