Elderly Woman Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision on Mainland Drive
SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 17, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, one woman was killed in a car accident on Bandera Road.
Around 2:20 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near Mainland Drive on June 30th.
Investigators say the elderly female driver of an eastbound vehicle veered over the center median and crashed into a curb and pole. The vehicle then collided with another car that was making a turn at the intersection.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
Following preliminary duties, police believe that the woman may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash. No other injuries were reported, and the crash is under investigation.
