81-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near McDonald’s Parking Lot

SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 17, 2024) – Saturday morning, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on State Highway 151.

The San Antonio Police Department responded to the scene around 9:25 a.m., near a McDonald’s Parking Lot on June 29th.

Investigators say the driver of a white 2014 Dodge Charger was heading south and struck a pedestrian who was in the middle of the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 81-year-old man dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with troopers.

Following preliminary duties, police suspect that the driver had a medical emergency causing him to speed up. He was taken to Medical City Lewisville Hospital for precaution.

No other information was added by the troopers, and the fatal pedestrian collision on State Highway 151 remains under investigation.
