65-Year-Old Carmichael Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Gerber Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 17, 2024) – Late Tuesday night, one man was killed in a pedestrian collision on Elk Grove Florin Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:20 p.m., in the area of Elk Grove Florin and Gerber Road.
Based on the investigation, the 30-year-old female driver of a 2021 Toyota SUV hit a man who was standing in traffic near a Walmart Supercenter.
Investigators say the 30-year-old woman driving the SUV was traveling through a green light. Responding medical personnel declared the 65-year-old male pedestrian, from Carmichael dead at the scene.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased victim.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the involved female driver to a nearby hospital as a precautionary measure.
