53-Year-Old Man Killed in Car vs Pedestrian Collision near Cleaveland Avenue
MADERA, CA (July 11, 2024) – Saturday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Raymond Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:15 p.m., just north of Cleaveland Avenue.
Responding officers discovered the male victim in the southbound lanes of Raymond Road with significant injuries.
Despite the life-saving efforts of the first responders, the 53-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. However, his name remains undisclosed to the public, awaiting his next of kin’s confirmation.
Following the crash, the 71-year-old driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
At this time, the detectives are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
