Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Crash on Kent Avenue [Kings County, CA]
38-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Collision near 16th Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (July 10, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one male pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on Kent Avenue.
Police officers responded to the scene shortly before 4:00 a.m., near 16th Avenue on July 3rd.
Reports indicate that the driver of an eastbound Kia struck a man who was on the roadway. Upon impact, the Kia driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
First responders located the 38-year-old male pedestrian down on the road. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the man deceased. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
At this time, there were no leads on the suspect and further investigation remains ongoing. Witnesses are urged to call the CHP Hanford Office at (559) 582-0231. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian crash on Kent Avenue.
