Three People Dead after DUI Collision near East Grave Avenue
MONTEREY PARK, CA (July 10, 2024) – Friday, a solo-vehicle crash on Cecil Street claimed the lives of Alexander Cota Jr. and two other people.
The deadly incident happened around 12:34 a.m., in the area of Cecil Street and East Grave Avenue.
According to reports, responding officers learned that an SUV collided with a tree and hit three other vehicles before rolling on its roof.
One of the occupants inside the SUV was ejected and was later discovered on the roof of a nearby residence. First responders declared the victim and the two adults inside the SUV dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities located the driver, assisting their 7-year-old daughter outside the SUV. Both the mother and daughter were transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified one of the deceased victims as 34-year-old Alexander Cota Jr.
