55-Year-Old Man Dies Sedan vs Pedestrian Accident near Beach Boulevard

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 9, 2024) – Friday night, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Warner Avenue. 

Dispatchers received calls around 10:00 p.m., near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Warner.

Upon arrival, police officers discovered the male victim lying along the roadway. Paramedics transported the 55-year-old male pedestrian to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

According to investigators, a Lexus sedan traveling in the right eastbound lane struck the male pedestrian who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.

Shortly after, the driver of a Ford sedan also struck the man who was down on the road in the middle lane.

Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. The 28-year-old Huntington Beach man driving the Lexus and the 61-year-old Newport Beach man driving the Ford cooperated with the authorities.
