Jackie Holbrook, Jonathon Holbrook and Hope Kropf Killed in Fiery SUV Crash on Loop 202 [Tempe, AZ]
3 Pronounced Dead after Solo-Vehicle Collision near Priest Drive
TEMPE, AZ (July 8, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, Jackie Holbrook, Jonathon Holbrook, and Hope Kropf died in a fiery SUV crash on Loop 202.
The incident happened in the area of Priest Drive and Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway on July 1st.
Officers received reports of a vehicle that hit a traffic support pole in the median. Upon arrival, first responders located the black SUV completely engulfed in flames.
Bystanders quickly pulled two occupants from the burning vehicle and provided emergency medical assistance, with police officers also rendering aid. Shortly after, the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue team arrived, extinguished the fire, and took over.
One individual died at the scene while trapped inside the car, and the others two died later at the hospital. The victims were identified as 70-year-old Jackie Holbrook, 23-year-old Jonathon Holbrook, and 21-year-old Hope Kropf.
Officers suspect speed was a contributing factor to the crash. Authorities are actively pursuing further information through an ongoing investigation.
