Several Injured in 23-Vehicles Collision near Mile Marker 254

SANTA FE, NM (July 8, 2024) – Wednesday, eighteen victims were hospitalized after a 23-vehicle crash on Interstate 25.

The incident occurred near mile marker 254 on June 19th.

According to the New Mexico State Police, the collision involved at least 23 vehicles, and a total of 51 occupants were hurt. Following preliminary duties, officers say blowing dust and high winds played a factor in the crash.

Furthermore, all 51 occupants were evaluated at the scene. Due to the extent of their condition, medical personnel transported 18 occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
