Two Men Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Manning Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 3, 2024) – Saturday evening, a stop-sign crash on Englehart Avenue claimed the lives of Angel Reyes and Andres Rivero Jr.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m., near Manning Avenue.

California Highway Patrol officers say the driver of a southbound Chevrolet Malibu failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the Chevy collided with a westbound Ford F-150.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced two occupants from inside the Chevy dead at the scene. Authorities later identified them as 25-year-old Reyes, of Dinuba and 36-year-old Rivero Jr., of Reedley.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the F-150 were treated for minor injuries. It was unclear if any of the patients were hospitalized.

At this time, the CHP is working to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. Fresno County Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal Englehart Avenue two-vehicle crash to contact them as soon as possible.
