Man Fatally Struck in Bicycle Crash on Stockdale Highway [Bakersfield, CA]
Male Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Allen Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 2nd, 2024) – Early Tuesday evening, one man was fatally struck in a bicycle crash on Stockdale Highway.
Around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the scene near Allen Road after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a car traveling east on the highway collided with a southbound bicyclist who was riding through a westbound crosswalk.
Responding paramedics later declared the male bicyclist dead at the scene. Although, his identity currently remains undisclosed by the coroner’s office.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the site of the collision and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, Bakersfield Officials continue to investigate the fatal Allen Road bicycle collision.
