One Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Shaver Street
SAN JACINTO, CA (July 2nd, 2024) – Early Thursday, a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on San Jacinto Avenue took the life of one person.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m., police officers responded just south of Shaver Street.
Emergency crews say the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian while traveling at an unknown rate of speed.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities. Police officers discovered the victim lying in the middle of the roadway.
Responding paramedics declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public.
Following preliminary duties, police managed to identify the suspect, who was later taken into custody. However, any booking information remains unavailable.
San Jacinto Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal pedestrian collision on San Jacinto Avenue to contact their offices.
