Two 19-Year-Old Men Pronounced Dead after Solo-Car Crash near Roan Road

GARLAND, TX (June 27th, 2024) – Sunday, Carlos Villalta and Cristian Rodriquez were killed in a single-vehicle accident on Rowlett Road.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., police officers responded to the scene at the 2200 block of Rowlett Road near Roan Road.

Officers say the driver of a pickup-truck failed to maintain control and crashed into a guard rail. The impact ejected Villalta and Rodriguez from the vehicle onto the road.

First responders arrived and pronounced 19-year-old Villalta and 19-year-old Rodriguez dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a third passenger suffered critical injuries, and emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
