Stephen Ray Bethel Killed in Single-Car Accident on Pony Express Trail [El Dorado County, CA]
55-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Pick-Up Truck Crash in Pollock Pines
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (June 26, 2024) – Saturday morning, a solo-vehicle accident on Pony Express Trail took the life of Stephen Ray Bethel.
The fatal incident happened around 8:20 p.m. at the 6200 block of Pony Express Trail beside the El Dorado Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford pick-up truck went off the roadway for reasons unknown.
First responders transported the driver to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators claimed the driver was not wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Officials later identified the deceased driver as 55-year-old Stephen Ray Bethel of Pollock Pines. At this time, El Dorado County Officials continues to investigate the deadly crash.
