One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Avenue I

LANCASTER, CA (June 26, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, one victim was killed in pedestrian crash on 15th Street East.

Around 2:00 a.m., first responders arrived to the scene near Avenue I on June 25th.

Per reports, the driver of a westbound sedan struck a pedestrian who was walking in the bicycle lane.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Following preliminary duties, authorities are determining if the driver’s speed or intoxication contributed to the crash.
