Man Dies in 6-Car Collision on Interstate 880 [Fremont, CA]
56-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Crash near Fremont Boulevard
FREMONT, CA (June 26, 2024) – Late Wednesday evening, one man was fatally injured in a 6-car collision on Interstate 880.
California Highway Patrol officers arrived to the scene around 10:20 p.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Fremont Boulevard on June 12th.
For reasons under investigation, six vehicles collided in the area. First responders located the 56-year-old male driver of one of the vehicle dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the 6-car collision on Interstate 880.
