Man and Woman Killed in Stop-Sign Crash on Newcomb Street [Porterville, CA]
60-Year-Old Man, 74-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after 2-Vehicle Collision near Teapot Dome Avenue
PORTERVILLE, CA (June 25, 2024) – Sunday evening, a man and woman were killed in a stop-sign crash on Newcomb Street.
The incident occurred just after 7:15 p.m., near Teapot Dome Avenue on June 16th.
According to reports, the 29-year-old male driver of a vehicle failed to stop at the posted stop sign at while traveling at a high rate of speed.
As a result, he collided with an eastbound vehicle on Teapot Dome Avenue.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced a 60-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman, both from Arvin, deceased.
Paramedics also transported the 29-year-old man to an area hospital for further treatment of his injuries.
Law enforcement officials are actively investigating to gather more information about the crash. An active investigation into the fatal stop-sign crash on Newcomb Street is still currently underway.
