Three Dead, Suspect Arrested after DUI Accident near Shea Boulevard
FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ (June 24, 2024) – Sunday, Victor Coralles, Emilia Rodriquez, and Jesus Nunez-Rodriquez died in a crash on State Route 87.
Dispatchers received calls around 4:30 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Shea Boulevard on May 26th.
Investigators say Jose Serrano-Orduno was driving a Chevrolet Avalanche south in the northbound lanes.
As a result, the Chevy collided head-on with a Ford F-150, driven by 25-year-old Coralles. Due to the extent of their condition, medics pronounced 25-year-old Coralles, 42-year-old Rodriguez and 26-year-old Nunez-Rodriguez deceased.
Paramedics arrived and transported Serrano-Orduno to a nearby hospital. After he was discharged, authorities charged him for second-degree murder, aggravated assault and endangerment.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
