Passenger Killed in Fiery Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 10 [Desert Center, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Collision near Eagle Mountain Road
DESERT CENTER, CA (June 24, 2024) – Early Tuesday morning, a passenger was killed in a fiery semi-truck accident on Interstate 10.
Around 12:55 p.m., first responders arrived to the eastbound lanes of the freeway just east of Eagle Mountain Road.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, a tractor-trailer collided with a sedan, leaving both vehicles engulfed in flames.
Responding emergency personnel later declared one of the people inside the passenger vehicle dead at the scene. However, police have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Authorities said the driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries from the collision and no other injuries were reported.
At this time, the California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal semi-truck accident on Interstate 10.
