53-Year-Old Riverdale Man Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Collision near Kamm Avenue 

FRESNO, CA (June 24, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a semi-truck accident on Jameson Avenue claimed the life of Consuelo Cordova De Hernandez.

Police officers responded to the scene around 1:20 p.m., in the area of Jameson and Kamm Avenue. 

Upon arrival, officers learned that a westbound commercial semi-truck on Kamm Avenue collided with a Chevrolet SUV. 

Investigators claimed the semi-truck had the right of way and the SUV driver failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection. The impact of the collision caused the semi-truck and the trailer to roll onto its side. 

Responding emergency personnel declared the SUV driver dead at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased driver as 53-year-old Consuelo Cordova De Hernandez of Riverdale. 

Paramedics transported the driver of the semi-truck to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Fresno Officials do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the incident.
